Getting Ready

Well, it has been several months in the making and lots and lots of planning. Tomorrow we send a group of 7 to our little home at Small Steps for Compassion. We have 2 adults and 5 teenagers making the long trek to Tanzania. While there they will be spending time with our girls and working on the building project!

During the past few months they have been busy raising money for their trip and collecting supplies to bring over. Our director of operations had suggested that they bring clothes for our girls (because U.S. clothes are much more durable than what they can find there). Well, they have had so many shoes, shirts and dresses donated that they have 5 suitcases filled! There will be plenty to share in the community if there is a need there as well. They have also collected eye glasses, that they will share in the community for those in need.

The excitement is building for those who will be heading out tomorrow. The anticipation of meeting our girls and getting to spend time with them has everyone eager to get there.
